Scotia: Utilities are the top-performing S&P sector quarter-to-date… despite being the only sector to see negative EPS estimate revisions on both a YTD and QTD basis. That combination obviously implies that Utility P/Es are expanding – materially.

Utilities now trade at a 14% relative P/E discount to the S&P 500, up from a bottom of a ~30% discount a year ago but materially worse than the 5/10-year average premiums of 7%/9%.
