McLean Plaza, the office complex at 6862 Elm St. in McLean, has a host of new tenants, bringing it up to 95% occupancy, according to information from Newmark, whose Larry FitzGerald and Cole Spalding manage leasing at the building. It's a win for Kenwood Management, which bought the 104,000-square-foot office building for $22.9 million last November, according to information from Fairfax County.

JBG Smith puts two Potomac Yard multifamily projects on hold as construction costs soar

JBG Smith Properties has put two apartment projects on hold that were to have started earlier this year just steps from the Potomac Yard Metro station, citing "inflated construction pricing." The two developments, located in North Potomac Yard between Virginia Tech's first campus building and the infill Metro station now projected to open early next year, are planned for more than 400 units between them. "With costs having increased as much as 20% over the last year, however, today’s inflated construction pricing is not favorable for new development," Matt Kelly, JBG Smith CEO, said in his quarterly message to investors released Tuesday.
