$OIH this is fucked. Market obviously believes that big oil will simply NOT put any capital into expanding domestic and other non-OPEC supply, no matter what the price of oil is. So, WTI rises, perhaps to 80, while oilfield services wither and die. Implausible medium term, but in the short term, that is obviously the market’s conviction. Whether it’s a matter of deleveraging balance sheets, or ESG considerations, capital is not flowing from $XOM $CVX etc to $SLB $HAL etc.
