Hertz Global Holdings is experiencing strong rental-car bookings and good pricing as consumers are in a “traveling mood,” Mark Fields, the company’s interim CEO, told Barron’s Wednesday afternoon. Hertz (ticker: HTZ), which reported better-than-expected financial results for the fourth quarter after the close of trading Wednesday, is also seeing keen interest in the Tesla (TSLA) vehicles that have entered its rental fleet following a highly publicized partnership announced in October. Fields said that Hertz saw an impact from Omicron in the first six weeks of the quarter, but the company was now seeing “very strong bookings and good pricing.”
