Good news or less good news the Department of Labor recorded 943,000 non-agricultural job creations in July, against 938,000 the previous month (revised from 850,000) and a consensus established around 900,000.

The unemployment rate at, him, fell by 0.5 point to 5.4%, where the consensus expects a less marked drop.

Wall Street seems however to hesitate in the face of these better-than-expected figures, which at the same time reinforce the risk of seeing the Federal Reserve accelerate the tightening of its monetary policy.
