Noble Corporation Restructure Chapter 11 July 31 2020
Base on Court documents at the time of Filing Chapter 11 NE Assets around $ 7.26 Billion and Debt $ 4.66 Billion
So expected NE assets post restructure: $ 7.26 B - $ 4.66 B - $ Interest etc... = around $ 2 Billion
According to Noble’s filing: Existing common shareholders will receive around 4 % of the ownership in the company or around $80,000,000 ( 4% of $ 2 B)
Total common shares of NE is around 251,000,000
So hopefully at emergence of Chapter 11: Each common share would be valued around $ 0.32.
Which is 9-10 times the current NE share value
There are many other factors during the Chapter 11 restructuring process. The number is just rough calculation base on available data. Most likely they will convert to new equivalent shares. The current share value is very cheap for the company with this kind of assets.
