$XBI its reins are being held, but for how long will they succeed?

The holding of the index is holding my basket of biotechs too ( $SGMO $SURF )

Yet IMO the long awaited M&A is around the corner. WHY?: 1) Raising rates make BOs timely (before it gets more expensive); 2) $XBI is crazy oversold. Making all BO cheaper than what it would have cost just a few months ago; 3) MRNA BNTX PFE 's vaccine bonanza has them flushed with cash. Hording all that cash is not good in a world of raising inflation (they need to put that cash to work soon or some the vaccine financial gains will go puff in air. Doing nothing will infuriates shareholders who will start calling for heads of CEO to roll for missing such opportunities.

When will it happen? When you read the first press release of the a Big Pharma buying a biotech it'll mark the start. Such event will create a biotech land grab as we have not seen in years.
