CyberOptics to Deliver Technical Presentation at the Heterogeneous Integration Summit by SEMICON Taiwan
MINNEAPOLIS, August 15, 2022--CyberOptics® Corporation (NASDAQ: CYBE), a leading global developer and manufacturer of high-precision 3D sensing technology solutions will share a technical presentation at the Heterogeneous Integration Global Summit organized by SEMICON Taiwan. The CyberOptics buyout is expected to expand Nordson's (NDSN) semiconductor test and inspection capabilities with the help of the optical sensing technology and wireless measurement sensors of the former.
One big star of the stock market on Monday was a relatively obscure specialty tech company: CyberOptics (NASDAQ: CYBE). The manufacturer of precision 3D sensing technology agreed to be acquired by a peer for quite a hefty premium to its share price. As a result, its share price was rocketing more than 29% higher as of late-session trading on the day.
The specialized-equipment company Nordson said Monday it was buying CyberOptics a 3D-sensing technology company, for $380 million. The all-cash deal works out at $54 a share and is a 31% premium to CyberOptics ‘ (ticker: CYBE) closing price on Friday. In response to the news, CyberOptics ‘ shares surged 29% to $52.99 in premarket trading on Monday.
