Papa John's International Inc. said Monday that it will bring on another 10,000 workers due to the COVID-19-related surge in business. The pizza delivery chain recently hired 20,000 new employees. Second-quarter same-store sales through the end of June increased 24.4%. The company has also added two partners to its tuition assistance program: Southern New Hampshire University and University of Maryland Global Campus. Along with Purdue University Global, these schools offer higher education to Papa John's workers and their family members at reduced tuition. Papa John's stock is up 47.4% for the year to date while the S&P 500 index is down 0.5% for the period.
