$UGRO not sure people realize how much Urban-Gro’s market size is increasing w/ THREE more states now legalizing & FOUR more potentially by end of year. Simply listen to mgmt commentary & review the recent ER’s & backlog. Each of these states will have growers needing to build out and/or growers in other states expanding to accommodate. Yet UGRO still < $100M mkt cap despite $50M+ cash, EBITDA+ & 174% sales growth. Plus UGRO is now moving into Europe and already working with many other crops, not just Cannabis. $SMG Pre-mkt, SMG was UP over $4 in green. Right after the closing bell, in Post Mkt, it was UP over $12/share! It was my biggest gainer for the day. I went to go research a few things, came back and it is down over $6 again. Did anyone else see this jump during Post Mkt after the bell? WHAT was up with that? Scott's has been my most stable gaining stock for past couple years. Every time it drops, it rebounds 2x-3x as much within a day or two! Dirt, mulch, top soil, lawn & plant food, fertilizer, manure, seed, tools, etc... Garden stores, businesses, pot growers, home owners, gardeners, nurseries... Everyone uses Scott's products!!!Jackpotty, published April 15, 2021
$SMG My take on the investor conference.
Business is good real good, biggest problem they have is supply. The bears think this new found demand in gardens will only be a short term fad, the new growth is from millennials with more male population then other generations. I personally think millennials who have grown a garden in COVID times will want to keep it up so I see the growth. The owners are unconventional and were more like people so the "suits" may have not been too impressed. They basically said we are too busy to think about next year or beyond we are running at full clip as is.
My 290 calls (June) maybe in slight trouble as the suits were not too impressed, however the long term for this stock is bright! If we get to 260 by next week I may think differently. May 5th (ER) is the next biggest date to watch, I expect numbers to beat hard.
New York State Senate on Tuesday voted 40-23 to pass a bill to legalize recreational marijuana. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said he would sign it after agreeing with state lawmakers on the framework just days ago.
The New York State Assembly is also expected to vote on the bill.
If the bill is signed, the Empire State would become the fifteenth state in the country, along with the District of Columbia, to have legalized the drug for recreational use.
Legislators debated the measure in the Senate for 3 hours, with Republican senators alleging that the bill is dangerous and does not represent the wishes of all New Yorkers.
