Thomson Reuters Swings to Loss in Q4Shares of Thomson Reuters (TSE: TRI) were down in early trading Tuesday after the provider of business information services reported higher revenue but swung to a loss in the fourth quarter. Revenues & Earnings Revenues came in at $1.71 billion for the quarter ended December 31, an increase of 6% from $1.61 billion in the prior-year quarter. The company reported a loss of $175 million (-$0.36 per diluted share) in Q4 2021, compared with a profit of $562 million ($1.13 per diluted share) in Q4 2020. The loss is due to lower operating profit and a decline in the value of the company's investment in the London Stock Exchange Group. |
