$VST They announce earnings on 5/4. I think this is a great buy pre-earnings. I think taking a loss of up to $1.3 billion for the storm is already baked into the price. There is uncertainty preventing the stock from rising.HODL_trader, published April 11, 2021
They haven't come out and said exactly what impact they will take from the texas storm. As long as it's a defined impact and they aren't going belly up, the stock will rise on earnings.

$VST All these reforms out of Texas with no money to pay for it. Bidens infrastructure plan has $100B earmarked for grid improvements. Guess whose the only state not on the grid?
I suspect Texas politicians will start considering joining the grid, moving to a capacity market if they receive a ton of money from Washington. Washington better not give a penny to Texas grid improvements if Texas can't come up with a sustainable model here. It's like Texas politicians want their constituents to suffer.

$VST This looks like a steal under 18. Management buying for a reason. Before the run up in Jan/Feb this stock did nothing. Eventually it is likely to run again. Very decent dividend. Great risk/reward. I'm hoping positive news lifts this sooner rather than later. But I'll wait as long as needed.jonny500, published March 17, 2021
$VST - TX senate just passed a bill (SB 2142) re pricing ERCOT whole sale energy prices from Feb 17th - 21st (Uri impact timeline on VST’s 8K).
If they re price the whole sale market, my understanding is that would drastically change VST’s uri impact (likely revising down the impact estimate). Meaning, VST is probably under valued given that Republican support (Governor + LT Governor) (and some Dem’s) are behind re pricing. If it passes the house, Abott will sign it.
Curious to see any counter opinions based on the re pricing?
